Any student currently enrolled in recognised secondary education in Victoria!
Congress is one of the only events for students, by students and we ask that educators do not accompany their students to the event. We encourage educators to come along to our end of year Student Voice Extravaganza instead!
We can only host a limited number of students at Congress, so we cap each school at three delegates to make sure as many schools across Victoria as possible get the chance to participate. Make sure you’ve spoken with your student representative team to see if students from your school are already going!
Nope! Everyone has a voice, and everyone should be heard. If you are a Victorian secondary student, you can participate.
Nope! Schools can register their students but you can also register as an individual student.
Note that only three students from each school can participate, so make sure you talk to someone at school to see if anyone else from your school is already going!

About the event
Congress 2022 will take place Friday 2 September at 111 Queens Parade, Fitzroy North on Wurun Senior Campus, a senior secondary campus for Collingwood College and Fitzroy High School.
Secondary students from across Victoria, the VicSRC Student Executive Advisory Committee - who will be running the show – and VicSRC staff.
We encourage you to prepare a pitch for the Pitch Session – pitch your big idea or your biggest issue with education to be voted on to become one of the priorities for Congress 2022.
Please bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Everything else, including lunch, is provided!
Wear what makes you feel comfortable! We do not require you to wear school uniform. You will receive a Congress t-shirt when you get to Congress which we hope you will wear 😊
Yep! You can bring and use your phone during the event, or another device if preferred
Action Teams at Congress are teams of around 10 students led by a VicSRC Executive Committee member. Each Action Team works on an Action Plan for a topic pitched at the start of the day.
You will be randomly assigned to an Action Team before Congress – your team colour will be on your lanyard when you get to the event. Your Team’s topic will be randomly assigned after voting in the morning.
